DRESS CODE REMINDER:
- In a recital class, dancers will learn a dance to perform at the recital. They will work weekly on learning the choreography and technique required to perform the piece.
- In a technique class, dancers will focus solely on learning the technique and will not learn a dance to be performed. This is perfect for recreational dancers or dancers who want to get extra practice.
Ballet
- Ballet is a theatrical art form that utilizes dance, music, costumes, and scenery to convey a story to an audience. In this class, dancers will learn classical ballet technique. A ballet class consists of barre, center, and across-the-floor. Dancers will learn the vocabulary of ballet technique and how to execute it on their bodies.
- DRESS CODE: hair in a bun, any color leotard and pink tights, ballet slippers
Jazz
- Jazz dance is a lively, fun, and highly athletic dance style. In this class, dancers will warm up, work on isolations of the body, learn progressions across the floor, and work on jumps and turns.
- Jazz has many similar jumps and turns found in gymnastics so this class would be a great way to elevate your gymnast’s overall technique and artistry.
- DRESS CODE: hair up, tight fitting clothing and tan or black jazz shoes
Contemporary
- Contemporary dance utilizes the lower body elements of ballet and jazz techniques while teaching freedom and expression in the body. It teaches dancers how to communicate emotions artistically. A contemporary class consists of a warm-up, across the floor, learning a combo, and improvisation.
- DRESS CODE: hair up, tight fitting clothing and half-soles
Lyrical
- Lyrical dance combines aspects of ballet and jazz techniques to help convey the lyrics and emotions of a song to an audience. This dance style allows dancers to embrace their artistry through the use of a familiar technique. Lyrical is similar to contemporary dance, however, it is geared towards younger dancers because it has more structure. A lyrical class consists of a warm-up, across the floor, learning a combo, and improvisation.
- DRESS CODE: hair up, tight fitting clothing and half- sole
Hip-Hop
- Hip-hop dance is a combination of street styles that evolved from hip-hop culture and music. This dance style is high energy, upbeat, and cool. In this class, dancers will warm up; learn technical elements in the center and across the floor; and freestyle. This class is perfect for dancers to develop their artistic style.
- DRESS CODE: hair up, baggy clothing acceptable, closed toed sneakers
Mini Movers
- Mini Movers is a fun and engaging dance class designed for children ages 2–3. Through music, movement, and imaginative play, young dancers explore basic skills like jumping, spinning, and balancing while developing coordination, rhythm, and confidence. The class encourages creativity, listening skills, and social interaction in a positive and playful environment, helping toddlers build a love for dance while learning to move and express themselves.
- DRESS CODE: tight fitting clothing, ballet slippers or bare feet
Jumps, Leaps, and Turns
- Jumps, Leaps, and Turns focuses on building strong technical foundations in dance by developing elevation, control, and proper turning technique. Dancers work on strength, balance, and coordination while practicing a variety of jumps, leaps, and turns across the floor and in combinations. The class helps students improve power, precision, and confidence while refining their overall performance quality.
- DRESS CODE: hair up, tight fitting clothing, half soles
DRESS CODE REMINDER:
- No pajamas or jeans are permitted in class. Students must follow the proper dress code to ensure safety, freedom of movement, and a professional learning environment.
